From first record in 1960, Jorge López Ruiz has been a living witness to Argentina jazz, and until his regrettable death in 2018, he has been creating amazing works that can be called legendary. This work was released in 1980 and recorded in New York with session between local jazz musicians such as Eddie Gomez, Anthony Jackson, Jeremy Steig and Argentinean players such as Pocho Lapouble, Jorge Dalto and Carlos Franzetti. Total 5 tunes, the opening track, "La Chiquita Esa," is an elegant Latin jazz that is full of technicality and flawlessness from each member, rhythm work makes dance, trumpet, candombe and the piano leads the way in the second half of "El Candombe de Bolita," a great jazz rock tune, "A Marieta" is a swirling groove full of energy, and "Romancero" is a spiritual jazz tune with an experimental feel. It's a bit hidden in his works, but it's just submerged.
