12" single in 1981 by John Wagner, a Mexican musician who is still active as an independent composer and studio owner. Both are good contents, A-side "Manha Di Carnaval" which shifts from a moody atmosphere to an urban classical fusion, and the B-side is "Ironhorse" a funky yet neat instrumental disco samba with a mid-range beat. The color vinyl version, which is so common in Mexican music is also very interesting
インディペンデントな作曲家やスタジオオーナーとして数多くの作品に参加しながら現在も活動を続けるメキシコ人音楽家John Wagnerが81年に残していた12”シングル。両面ともにいい内容で、A面はムーディな雰囲気からアーバン・クラシカル・フュージョンへシフトする”Manha Di Carnaval”、そしてB面には収録のミドルなビートにファンキーながら端正なインスト・ディスコサンバ"Ironhorse"とどちらも使い勝手もよさそうです。メキシコものにやたら多いカラーヴァイナル仕様もなかなか乙です。
