Australian ambient musician John Elder. Probably he was on the Southern Quest, which sank into the Antarctic sea in 1986, the year before the release of this work (the photo in the article is his credit). Not sure if it was composed based on, but the work named "Antarctica". It is an ambient piece that brings calm and imaginary sharpened sence, sound image as if various emotions are mixed, and an organic feeling that seems to depict a grand nature. It penetrates deeply and profoundly. Hard to find recent years. There are faint marks/scuffs, but they didn't significantly affect playback.
