Born in Nuremberg, Germany, but moving around due to his parents' work before settling in Cincinnati, USA, John Bender is a home recording musician who released a legendary body of work in the early 80s. This is his 1980 first album. While the electronic techniques and songwriting sophistication are impressive, it captures the dreamy, home-recording experimental techno-pop vibe—all the little quirks and imperfections of toy-like, clunky electronic gear, with its warm, human-like electronic sounds that slowly seep into your consciousness. It's nothing short of amazing. Missing insert, but a rare original pressing limited to 1000 copies.
