In southeastern France, a 1979 survey made it possible to collect approximately 240 types of plant-derived musical instruments. This album, released in 1982, was produced after the restoration of these instruments, with the collective rehearsing and recording under the direction of composer Jean-Yves Bosseur. It features 11 tracks that combine a variety of plant-based instruments from those imitating bird songs and those made from gourds to toys used by young shepherds and rural children. The sounds are fascinating and engaging. Wonderful. Although it's a 45 rpm record, it's also interesting at 33 rpm.
フランス南東部にて、1979年の調査によって植物由来の楽器約240種類の収集が可能になった。本作はその楽器たちの復元を機にコンポーザーJean-Yves Bosseur指揮の元、集団的にリハーサルとレコーディングを重ねリリースされた82年録音作品。鳥の鳴き声を模したもの、ひょうたんから作られた楽器、若い羊飼いや田舎の子供たちの玩具まで様々な植物楽器を組合し表現された全11曲を収録。興味深い音が続いていきます。素晴らしい。45回転仕様ですが33回転でも面白いです。
