Probably the only self-produced album by the seven-member male-female funk group Jamaica. The band's name suggests reggae and Latin influences in all of its feel-good quality tunes. Among them are "Sleep Lessn To Night" a mid-funk tune with intersecting electronic and organ sounds, bossa-funk tune with a cheerful sound of kalimba "Honey, Sugar Pie", “One More D.J.” which has an impressive acidic dope beat, up-tempo danced highlight tune "One Night Stand". Nice album.
男女7人組ファンクグループJamaicaによるおそらく唯一となる自主製作盤。バンド名からもわかるレゲエやラテンの影響を感じさせる気持ちいい楽曲を全編に収録。中でも電子音やオルガンの音色が交差するミッド・ファンク”Sleep Lessn To Night"、カリンバなどが陽気になる鳴り響くボッサ・ファンク調の”Honey, Sugar Pie”、アシッディなドープビートが印象的な”One More D.J.”、アップテンポなダンスを誘うハイライト・チューン”One Night Stand”はオススメ。クオリティを感じる良質な一枚です。
