Jeff Greinke is an ambient/jazz-rock composer currently based in Arizona. He began composing around 1980 and has continued to release music consistently, while also working with duos and groups such as Hana and Land. Released in 1985, this album is a drone/dark ambient work created through multi-layered overdubs. It features a total of 10 tracks, led by overlapping unsettling layers “Maintain Circulation” that evoke the feeling of a midnight drive, and drone ambient “Scud” that feels like the earth’s pulse surging up from below. The entire album is brimming with energy.
現在はアリゾナを拠点に活動するアンビエント/ジャズロックの作曲家Jeff Greinke。80年頃に作曲活動を始め現在まで継続的にリリースを重ね同時にHanaやLandといったデュオやグループでの活動も行ってきた。本作は85年リリースのサウンドスケープを幾重にも重ね多重録音によるドローン/ダーク・アンビエント作品。真夜中のドライブを想わせるような不穏なレイヤーが重なり形成される”Maintain Circulation”や大地の鼓動が下から突き上げるようなドローン・アンビエント”Scud”を筆頭にした全10曲。全編みなぎっています。
