This album, which kicked off the series and served as the inspiration for the group’s name, features nine tracks that begin with poetry by two Japanese women. A vast array of ethnic instruments, Spanish guitar, electric guitar, and synthesizers blend seamlessly to create a unified, harmonious work. Notable tracks include beautiful soundscape “Lucia” featuring smooth guitar playing and Eastern percussion, ecstatic borderless crossover “Estrellas” and title track “Ishinohana” played with a clear shimmering tone. The music possesses a depth that transcends simple labels like New Age or Balearic.
