The Horoya Band won numerous awards from the late '60s to the early '70s and was active as the Guinea's national orchestra until 1974. This album, released in 1973, was towards the end of their career. It features the killer groove “Zoumana” over 10 minutes long, where each masterful performance intertwines with exquisite rhythm and psychedelia. In addition, there are ba lineup of pleasant performances, mainly of the northern rumba "Savane Profonde" performed by a limited group. Consider it one of the standout releases even among the masterpieces on Syliphone. The disc is in excellent condition with almost no audible noise.

60年代後半から70年代初頭にかけて数々の受賞を受けてギニア国営オーケストラとして74年まで活動したHoroya Band。本作はその活動末期にリリースされた73年の作品。熟練を感じる各演奏が絡み合うようにそこに絶妙な抜け感やサイケデリアが融合した10分を超えるキラー・グルーヴ”Zoumana”を収録。それ以外にも北部のルンバ”ディープ・サバンナ”を中心に心地よい演奏が並びます。名作揃いのSyliphoneでも秀逸な内容。盤面ほとんどノイズ感じない貴重なコンディション。
