Harry Rusli, a multi-musician from Bandung, West Java, who was influenced by his grandfather, a famous writer, and produced the classic album "Philosophy Gang" in parallel with his writing activities. This cassette-only work was released in 1976 after he returned from studying in the Netherlands. The 12 tracks are a hybrid sound that would have surprised even Harry Hosono at the time, combining rock, psychedelic, funk, and progressive rock undertones with avant-garde elements of Xenakis, Cage, Stockhausen, , as well as Asian/Arab instruments such as gamelan, rebab, angklung.
