The only studio album by Harlem River Drive, a funk band led by Eddie Palmieri, a pianist of Puerto Rican immigrant parents. It's a historical masterpiece in 70's that has been called the answer for Latin artists living in the U.S. society, where more emphasis is placed on jazz and funk. Total 5 tunes, the album begins with an impressive theme song featuring Eddie's brother Charlie Palmieri on organ, followed by "If (We Had Peace Today)" which is mellowed out by Jimmy Norman's vocals, "Idle Hands" a Latin funk classic, the dope fune tune "Broken Home" and the funky tune "Seeds Of Life" in which each player seems to be at the peak of their abilities. Impressive. First original.
