A hidden Mexican private gem released in 1983 by Grupo Saravá, a six-piece Brazilian group formed in 1974, but has only this one confirmed release to their name. The album contains 11 tracks, a mix of original compositions and a clear respect for Brazilian music. Above all, the mellow jazz bossa nova track “Pererê” is absolutely standout that begins with bird songs and unfolds with Moog and breaks. Other highlights include a lovely cover of Jobim’s “Fotografia”, Zuzuca’s “Festa Para Um Rei Negro” both featuring female vocals and the members’ original percussion-driven samba track “A Conversa Do Samba”. The selection of tracks is not only catchy but also appeals for its exploration of the essence of Brazilian music. While some tracks have minor scratches and scuffs, the main tracks are in fairly good condition and play well. We’ve finally managed to restock this after several years. Very rare.
74年結成ながら確認できるリリースはこの作品のみとなっているメキシコの6人組ブラジリアン・グループGrupo Saraváによる83年の自主制作秘宝盤。オリジナル曲も織り交ぜながらブラジル音楽へのリスペクトを感じさせる全11曲を収録。なんといっても鳥のさえずりを交えた冒頭からムーグやブレイクを挟み展開していくメロウ・ジャズ・ボッサ”Pererê”が極上。他にも女性ヴォーカルによるJobimのナイスカバー”Fotografia”、Zuzuca作”Festa Para Um Rei Negro”やメンバーオリジナルのパーカッションによるサンバ曲”A Conversa Do Samba”もレコメンド。キャッチーな曲ばかりでなくブラジル音楽の真髄を探るような曲選びのセンスも好感が持てます。擦れや小傷あるトラックもありますが主要トラックは再生まずまず良好といえるコンディション(トラック毎に説明記してあります)。視聴聞いてみて下さい。数年ぶりに入荷できました。なかなか出ません。
