Futuro Antico was born from a short-lived collaboration between Walter Maioli, the mastermind behind Aktuala; Riccardo Sinigaglia, a leading figure in Milan’s experimental music scene known for his outstanding solo works and releases with The Doubling Riders; and Gabin Dabire, a guitarist from Burkina Faso. Recorded in 1980, this album presents an astonishing, otherworldly soundscape that masterfully fuses ancient music, ethnic music, and electronics.
