The only 1990 release by Fé de Sábio, a group formed in Paredes, east of Porto, Portugal. The group's history is entirely unknown, but it is presumably one of the early works featuring key figure Bruno Ardo, who has been involved in numerous projects ranging from experimental music to folk, psychedelic rock, and field recordings. The album contains 13 tracks, a crossover of ambient, new wave, experimental, and shoegaze elements typical of the era. Includes crystal clear ambient track “Crepúsculo” with bird calls, ‘Profecia’ reminiscent of Spain's Bélver Yin with its sparkling synth tones, the increasingly nostalgic “Nenúfares Nas Tuas lágrimas” and shoegaze-like track “Insubmissos” building excitement alongside electric piano. The water-patterned jacket says it all. Extremely rare.
ポルトガルのポルト東に位置するParedesにて結成されたグループFé de Sábioによる90年の唯一作。グループ結成の経緯などは全くもって不明ですが実験音楽からフォーク、サイケデリックロック、フィールドレコーディングまで数多くのプロジェクトに携わってきた当地のキーパーソンBruno Ardoが関わった初期作品のひとつと推測されます。この時代らしいアンビエント、ニューウェーヴ、エクスペリメンタル、シューゲイザーなどがクロスオーヴァーした全13曲を収録。鳥の鳴き声が入る澄み渡るようなアンビエント曲”Crepúsculo”、キラキラしたシンセの音色が響く隣国スペインのBélver Yinを彷彿とさせる”Profecia”、ノスタルジアに満ちていく”Nenúfares Nas Tuas lágrimas”、エレピと共に高揚していくシューゲイザー的トラック”Insubmissos”。水模様を写した美しいジャケットが全てを物語っています。一生もの。超入手困難です。
