1990 release album by Factotum, a Mexican five-piece rock band including a trombone/saxophone player, which has apparently had several releases mainly on tape. The band's mix of post-punk, new wave, reggae, and various rhythms is a characteristic of their style, and while the sharp post punk style numbers A1/A2 are not bad, we prefer the new wave dub style “Navegando En La Ilusion”, the obscure funk wave “Cancion Nocturna”, and the reggae rock “Mejor Blues” on the B-side. It seems that it is gradually gaining attention locally.
どうやらテープを中心に幾つかのリリースを重ねている、トロンボーン/サックス奏者を含む5人組ロックバンドFactotumの90年作。ポストパンク、ニューウェーブ、レゲエまで多様なリズムを消化したミクスチャースタイルが特徴で、キレのいいポストパンク・ナンバーA1/A2も悪くないですが、当店的にはB面に収録のニューウェーブ・ダブ調の”Navegando En La Ilusion”、オブスキュア感覚のファンク・ウェーブ”Cancion Nocturna”、レゲエ・ロック”Mejor Blues”の3曲をおすすめ。少しずつ現地でも知られてきているようです。
