1980 album by Finnish jazz maestro Edward Vesala. A spiritual jazz album recorded in New York with Tomasz Stańko and musicians including Chico Freeman. Features 6 tracks, including “Coming Of The Nocturnal Sun” which builds a groove through its tight playing, and “Slambura Road” where Chico Freeman’s saxophone resonates throughout. Wonderful. There is a slight warp on the outer edge that doesn’t affect playback.
フィンランドが生んだジャズの怪人打楽器奏者Edward Vesalaの80年作。Tomasz Stańkoと共にニューヨークへ赴きChico Freemanらと吹き込んだスピリチュアル・ジャズ作品。密な演奏でグルーヴしていく”Coming Of The Nocturnal Sun”やChico Freemanのサックスが響き渡る”Slambura Road”など全6曲。素晴らしい。再生影響ない僅かな外側にかけて浮くような反りございます。
