Donato Poveda is a Cuban-born musician who is well-known throughout Latin America. An underrated Latin pop album that doesn't sound like Cuba in a good way. Particularly outstanding are "Pamela" with interesting wired beat, and groovy "Encuentro Cercano" which is a perfect mix of mellow and funky. It also has a similar sound to that of Argentina.
キューバ出身ながらラテン各国で大きく知られるミュージシャンDonato Poveda。いい意味でキューバらしくないラテン・ポップを収録した好盤。とりわけワイヤードなビート感覚が面白い”Pamela”とメロウとファンキーが絶妙に交わるグルーヴィーな”Encuentro Cercano”が出色。アルゼンチンのサウンドに通じるところもあります。いい内容ですので是非聞いてみて下さい。
