Greek electronic musician Dimitris Petsetakis, whose work has recently come to light through archival discoveries. A native of Piraeus, a city near Athens, he was reportedly a founding member of the “Greek Association of Electronic Music Composers,” established by Iannis Xenakis, the pioneer of avant-garde music. This is his only work released on Vangelis Katsoulis’s label, Utopia. Composed of elements of minimalism, concrete music, and ethnic music from around the world, along with guitar, synthesizer, and various acoustic instruments, and believe Vangelis Katsoulis’s production and sound processing played a significant role, the album’s overwhelming level of polish is truly astonishing. It’s flawless from start to finish. The jacket has some scuffs and stains, but the impression is not too bad. The record is in excellent condition.
近年の発掘作業においてベールを脱いだギリシャの電子音楽家Dimitris Petsetakis。アテネ近郊の都市ピレウス出身で前衛音楽の祖Iannis Xenakisが設立した「ギリシャ電子音楽作曲家協会」の設立当初からの会員であったという。本作はVangelis KatsoulisのレーベルUtopiaよりリリースされた唯一の作品。ミニマリズム、コンクレート、世界各国の民族音楽の要素に加えギター、シンセサイザー、そして様々なアコースティック楽器で構成され、Vangelis Katsoulisのプロデュース/音響処理も大きく影響していると思いますがその圧倒的な完成度に驚かされます。スタートからフィニッシュまで間違いないです。ジャケットに擦れやシミありますがそこまで大きく悪くはないかなという印象です。盤面非常に良好。まず日本では見かけません。
