This album, the 4th release on the label, was recorded in 1969. \u003c\/span\u003eIn response to Derek Bailey’s performance, which pushed the boundaries of what the guitar could do, Han Bennink delivered a nerve-wracking, intense session, responding not only with his drum set but also with an oboe and a variety of percussion instruments. As the title “Frog” suggests, A1 feels like watching a Discovery Channel documentary of reptiles locked in battle.
