De Fabriek is a Dutch collective project that started in 1977 and has been revived in recent years. This is their first album from 1982, a step in their long history. Strictly speaking, although it appears that cassette tapes were released before, this early work was influenced by Esplendor Geometrico and underwent industrialization. In addition to evolving experiments in minimal music, the soundscape is a culmination of industrial, ethnic music, abstract, contemporary music. Total 11 tracks ranging from spacey minimal synth to home-made like track with slow rhythm machines and swaying trumpets, experimental concrète, and polyrhythmic "African Disco". Amazing piece. 1977年に活動を開始し近年では復活を遂げたオランダのコレクティブ・プロジェクトDe Fabriek。本作はその長い歴史の一歩となった82年のファーストアルバム。厳密にはこれ以前にカセットテープのリリースがあったようですが、Esplendor Geometricoの影響を受けインダストリアル化を経た初期作品。ミニマル音楽の進化実験に加えインダストリアル、民族音楽、アブストラクト、現代音楽などが結実したサウンドスケープが刻まれています。スペイシーなミニマル・シンセからスローなリズムマシーンにトランペットが舞う宅録工作的トラック、実験コンクレート、ポリリズムを刻んだ”African Disco”まで全11曲。最高のひとこと。インサート付きのオリジナル美盤。
