This single was released by Hawaiian singer Davy Smith for the film "Lahaina" based on a story by Yoji Yamada. "Itoshi no Lahaina," is a mellow synth-driven Japanese calypso track that evokes a resort-like feeling, with lyrics and music by Ken Tamura and arrangement by Ryoichi Kuniyoshi (ex-Mu-Project). The B-side is the same arrangement but with English lyrics, "Bluer Than Blue". Little known pleasant single.
ハワイ出身のシンガーDavy Smithが山田洋次原案の映画「いとしのラハイナ」の為にリリースしたシングル盤。作詩作曲をケン田村、アレンジを国吉良一 (ex Mu-Project)のドンズバな二人が手掛けたメロウなシンセがリゾート気分を誘うような和製カリプソ曲”いとしのラハイナ”を収録。B面は英詩による同アレンジ曲”Bluer Than Blue”。気持ちいい～
