Costin Miereanu, a composer from Bucharest, has been attracting a great deal of attention in recent years due to the discovery of dead stock of his sound experimental works left behind in the 1980s. This is a cassette only release from the "Environmental Music Series" that he released prior to his four works from 1984. The A-side is an electronic minimal type tune “Miroitements” that seems to wander around in a dream, sometimes disappearing and sometimes floating again, mimicking a natural phenomenon that shows fluctuating continuity. The B-side is minimal synth type tune “Fata Morgana” that evokes the techniques of music concrete and drone. Just like the LP works, each sound is exciting. There are some cracks and damages on the outside of the cassette tape, but do not affect playback at all.
80年代に残した音響実験作品がデッドストック発掘により近年大きな注目を浴びているブカレスト出身の作曲家Costin Miereanu。本作は84年の4作品以前にリリースしていた「環境音楽シリーズ」と題したカセットリリース作品。A面には揺らぎのある連続性を示す自然現象に似せて制作したという、時折消えてはまた浮遊するように夢の中を彷徨うような電子ミニマル”Miroitements”。B面にはミュージックコンクレートやドローンの技法を感じさせるミニマル・シンセ”Fata Morgana”を収録。LP作品同様にひとつひとつの響きに心躍ります。カセットテープ外部ににヒビ、破損部ありますが再生には全く影響ございません。
