A great modern boogie piece by an unknown singer named Charles, released by Ham-Sem Records, an LA indie label known for quality releases like Motivation and Tony Love. We particularly recommend "Full Contact Love" which pairs a pleasant mid-tempo rhythm with soaring sweet synths and smooth vocals, as well as the superb mellow slow jam "Absence", however, all five tracks are absolutely excellent, combining soulful vocals with raw, lo-fi programmed beats making it a release that is highly usable for DJs and collectors alike. There’s a corner cut on the bottom left, but other than that, it’s in excellent condition with the shrink wrap still intact.
MotivationやTony Loveといった良質の作品を残すLAのインディーレーベルHam-Sem Recordsからリリースされた詳細不明のシンガーCharlesが残したモダン・ブギー作品。当店的にはミッドな心地よいリズムに甘いシンセが舞いながらしっとりと歌われる”Full Contact Love”と最高なメロウ・スロウジャム”Absence”がオススメですが、ロウでチープな打ち込みにソウルフルなボーカルが乗る全5曲とも使って頂けそうな良質の一枚。左下にコーナーカットがあるんですがそれ以外はシュリンク付きの超美品。
