André Ceccarelli, also known as Dédé, is a French drumming prodigy who has been active across the jazz world, from library music releases like "Rythmes" and "Africa" from Patchwork. This album is one of his solo releases from the 1970s. While it includes the funky groovy "Forget It" featuring female vocal,we recommend mysterious percussive track "Ded's Circus" formed with steel drums, percussion, drums, and saxophone, ethno tribal track "Life Is Real Only Here" featuring female scat and improvisational cosmic soundscape "Space Out". This man is definitely not someone you can easily categorize.
”Rythmes”やPatchworkからの”Africa"などライブラリー作品からジャズの世界を股にかけて活躍したフランス人奇才ドラマーDédéことAndré Ceccarelli。本作は70年代にリリースしていた単独名義作品のひとつ。女性ヴォーカルをフィーチャーしたファンキー・グルーヴィーな”Forget It”も収録していますが、当店的にはスティールドラム、パーカッション、ドラム、サックスで形成された怪し気なパーカッシブ・トラック”Ded's Circus”、女性スキャットの入るエスノ・トライバル”Life Is Real Only Here”、即興宇宙的”Space Out”をオススメ。やはりこの人は一筋縄ではいきません。
