Released in 1989 by Melopea, this album features composer/pianist Carlos Massetti, who has conducted tango ensembles like Trio Contemporaneo and La Orquesta Buenos Aires Tango for many years while also active in the modern contemporary field. Making extensive use of his own programmed instruments and featuring multiple vocals, Litto Nebbia also features on synthesizer and bandoneon player Rodolfo Mederos. It starts with the cantata “La Fundación del Gorrión” by the aforementioned trio, a piece exceeding 9 minutes that sets the direction for the album, followed by “Corrion De Infancia” a tender track where Lalo De Los Santos' vocals blend seamlessly, the modern tango “Nadie Vio Llorar Al Pajaro” with piano, programmed beats, bandoneon, the avant--tinged finale “Lo Que Es” and the milonga “Milonga de Estar Aqui” which builds from rhythmic development into heated crescendo. It is relatively unknown, but highly recommended. It will likely only be released on cassette (or CD).
長年に渡りTrio ContemporaneoやLa Orquesta Buenos Aires Tangoといったタンゴ楽団を指揮しモダンコンテンポラリーの分野でも活躍した作曲家/ピアニストCarlos MassettiによるMelopeaからの89年作。自身による打ち込みを多用しそこに複数のヴォーカルをフィーチャー、Litto Nebbiaはシンセサイザー、バンドネオン奏者Rodolfo Mederosも参加しています。まず冒頭の9分を超えるこの作品を方向付ける前述の三者によるカンタータ”La Fundación del Gorrión”に始まり、Lalo De Los Santosのヴォーカルと一体となりしっとりと聞かせる”Corrion De Infancia"、ピアノ、打ち込み、バンドネオンによるモダン・タンゴ”Nadie Vio Llorar Al Pajaro"、ラストの前衛的雰囲気を放つ”Lo Que Es"、リズミカルな展開から熱を帯びていくミランガ”Milonga de Estar Aqui”まで多彩な楽曲を収録。あまり知られていないと思いますが非常にオススメできる内容。おそらくカセットのみ(もしくはCD)のリリースと思われます。
