Probably only work by Chilean SSW/guitarist Carlos Zúñigaa ka Carlocco, who turned solo after activing as a member of a beat band in 1960's. The composition also interweaves cover songs that mix Latin fusion, soul, and rock that are typical of this era. The flexible electric guitar, the fine rhythm of the percussion, and the mellow grooving bass provide a pleasantly dry atmosphere that is slightly different from Brazilian or Argentinean vibes. Among them, "Zarathustra", which makes your body shake with an acidy and gentle rhythm, sweet Latin easy listening style "Medianoche En Un Oasis", and mid-fusion with good break in the middle "Mazatlán", are excellent. Original in great condition.
60年にはビートバンドのメンバーとして活動した後、ソロに転じたチリのSSW/ギタリストCarlos ZúñigaことCarloccoの唯一作と思われる75年作。この時代らしいラテン・フュージョン、ソウル、ロックをミックスしたカヴァー曲も織り交ぜた構成。柔軟なエレクトリックギター、パーカッションが刻む細やかなリズム、まろやかにグルーヴするベースをバックにブラジルやアルゼンチンとは少し異なるドライな空気感が心地良いです。とりわけアシッディかつゆるやかなリズムで体が揺れる”Zarathustra”、甘いラテン・イージーリスニング調”Medianoche En Un Oasis”、中盤のブレイクがいい塩梅のミッド・フュージョン”Mazatlán”は秀逸。良好なコンディションで入荷しました。
