The first solo work by Bill Rhodes, a keyboardist known for his work with Everfriend, a band dedicated to the memory of the 269 innocent victims of the "Korean Air Lines Flight 007" that caused great tension between western countries and USSR. Side A contains 5 future jazz/funk type tunes using Yamaha DX7, RX11, and Roland 909. On the other hand, the B side includes a neat live jazz performance on a grand piano. It's interesting to see this contrast that could only exist on self-released album. The content is also rich, with the mellow modern boogie style "Sparakeet", the machine synth fusion "The Dream", the mid-funk fusion "Continium", and the nostalgic piano solo "Child" that appears to be a journey through scenes from the past. After this work, he will continue to release mainly on cassette. It comes with an illustrated insert that looks like a game advertisement.
西側諸国とソ連との間に大きな緊張をもたらした「大韓航空機撃墜事件」の269人の無実の犠牲者の記憶に捧げられた作品を残したバンドEverfriendの活動で大きく知られる鍵盤奏者Bill Rhodesが残したソロ名義初作。A面にはYamaha DX7, RX11, Roland 909を用いたフューチャージャズ/ファンク的な打ち込み音源5曲。対するB面にはグランドピアノによる端正なジャズライブ演奏を収録。自主盤でしかありえないであろうこの対比が面白いです。内容もメロウなモダンブギー調”Sparakeet”、マシーン・シンセ・フュージョン”The Dream”、ミッド・ファンク・フュージョン”Continium”、過去の情景を巡るようなノスタルジーなピアノソロ”Child”を筆頭に充実しています。今作以降もカセットを中心に意欲的にリリースを重ねていきますが、90年代を境に評価されるのはその後の事。可愛らしいイラスト付きのインサートもついています。
