The only solo LP by Bernard Chappuis—an experimental artist and multi-instrumentalist who participated in early works by the French multimedia art collective DDAA (Déficit Des Années Antérieures) but otherwise remains a figure shrouded in mystery. A collection of tracks varying in scale and scope, blending keyboards, saxophone, Tibetan instruments, assorted percussion, field recordings, and his own voice. The result is a mishmash of ethnic-like tracks infused with an indescribable blend of abstract and otherworldly sounds. As suggested by titles like "Floating Temple," "Equatorial Terrain" and "From Another Planet" the music evokes a truly singular atmosphere. Insane. Includes an insert featuring a mysterious musical score.
フランスのマルチメディアアート集団DDAAことDéficit Des Années Antérieuresの初期作品に参加しているもののそれ以外は現在も謎のままだという実験アーティスト/マルチ奏者Bernard Chappuisがソロ名義で残した唯一のLP作品。キーボード、サックス、チベット楽器や各種パーカッション、フィールド素材、自身の声を組み合わせた大小様々な楽曲集で、なんとも言えないアブストラクトかつ地球外的な音響が混じり合った民族音楽みたいな楽曲あれやこれや。浮遊寺院、赤道付近の地形、別の惑星から、といったタイトル名からも察しがつきます。DDAAで培った音響工作が作り上げた怪作。ヤバい。謎の楽譜が書かれたインサート付属。
