The only work of Axis by Yasuo Ogata, a keyboard player who has worked with Tatsuro Yamashita and Ginji Ito, and participated in great fusion album "Navigation To Islands" as Ogata project, and Keita Miyahara, a pianist who has provided music for commercials/anime and supported artists such as Kitaro and Mariko Takahashi. It is probably a one-off project formed as part of the healing and relaxation boom that flourished in the 1980s. However, over the two-year production period, the entire album contains highly complete meditation/ambient music that makes full use of tones and rhythms that affect the body through the biofeedback method, which is a self-control technique. The pure sound image that instantly sinks into your body invites relaxation. A Japanese ambient master piece.
山下達郎や伊藤銀次とも活動歴や名フュージョンアルバム”Navigation To Islands”の参加など良作群に参加している鍵盤奏者 緒方康男とCMやアニメへの楽曲提供、喜太郎や高橋真梨子といったアーティストのサポートなどマルチに活動しているピアニスト宮原恵太によるAxisの唯一作。おそらく80年代に盛んだったヒーリングやリラクセーションブームの一環で結成されたワンオフプロジェクトと思われます。しかし制作期間二年を通してセルフコントロール技術のひとつバイオフィードバック法を通して身体に作用する音色やリズムを駆使した完成度の高いメディテーション/アンビエント・ミュージックを全編に収録。スーッと身体に沁み込んで来るピュアな音像がリラクセーションを誘います。名作。
