A collaboration work in 1993 by Antonio Zepeda who combines ancient Mesoamerican mysticism and witchcraf with sound experiments and Enrique Toussaint, the leader of Sacbe, which consists of the Toussaint brothers. It's definitely one of the ultimate collaboration between two mature creators who demonstrate a deep love of improvisation on top of subtlety, profundity, curiosity, and confidence. A total of 8 tracks that transcend genres and show various elements in one track. Just amazing thoughout. It's a CD-only work, but hope to listen regardless of the format.
メソアメリカ古来の神秘や呪術と音響実験を結び付けたメキシコ人音楽家Antonio ZepedaとToussaint兄弟で構成されるSacbeのリーダーEnrique Toussaintによる93年の共作。二人の成熟したクリエイター同士の繊細、深遠、好奇心、自信の上に即興演奏への深い愛情が示された珠玉のコラボレーションの一つ。Landscapeのタイトルの元、ジャンルを超越し一曲の中で様々な事象を見せ展開していく全8曲。全曲隙なし。CDオンリー作品ですがフォーマットに捉われず聞いてほしいです。是非ヴァイナルでのリイシューを望みたいですね。
