Angel Rada, a Cuban-born Venezuelan ,electronic musician. After studying electronic music in Germany in the 70's and returning to Venezuela, this is 1986 release which is one of the works constantly released from his own label. The album features 6 tracks of imaginary electronics that evoke a sense of the near future and outer space, as evidenced by the word "Ubik" on the sleeve. Including "Caravanas" an electro beat with sci-fi feel, "Floating Love" an unusual new age electronic featuring a guitar in the second half, "Pequeño Concierto Para Dharma" a spacy electronic track, exotic-spiritual ambient "Continuvm . Y Salio El Sol". The soundscape is like a peek into his brain, which is somewhat exciting.
キューバ生まれのベネズエラ人電子音楽家Angel Rada。70年代にドイツで電子音楽を学び帰国した後、自身のレーベルからコンスタントに発表した作品群のひとつとなる86年作。本作ではスリーブにも書かれたUbikという言葉にも見られるように近未来感や宇宙を連想させるイマジナリー・エレクトロニクスを中心とした全6曲を収録。SF感覚のエレクトロビートを放つ”Caravanas”、後半にはギターをフィーチャーした一風変わったニューエイジ・エレクトロニクス”Floating Love”、スペーシー・エレクトロニクス”Pequeño Concierto Para Dharma”、エキゾ・スピリチュアル・アンビエント”Continuvm .. Y Salio El Sol”などなんだかワクワクとさせてくれる彼の脳内を覗き見るような音風景が広がっています。白い付着物が所々についており、プツっと音に出るものも含まれています。そこまで気になる範囲ではないですがお気を付けください。視聴長めに録ってあります。ラベルにもライティングあるので安価にて。
