A self released work in 1973 by Allen Houser, a trumpet player who was active mainly in Washington DC, and his sextet. Contains 5 tracks that are sure to be loved for many years as his masterpieces. Side A features "Mexico," which is full of emotion and has a smooth development that doesn't feel like it's over 10 minutes long, and our favorite "Charlottesville" which starts off with a smoky atmosphere and then transitions to a piano-centered performance. Side B features the hard bop title track "No Samba" with lively tension and impressive long trumpet sound, the elegant "Cousin Rae's 3-Step" and “10 Years After” starts with a graceful first half and runs through the hot interplay of the second half. A lifetime piece with flawless performance from start to finish. The sepia-colored jacket is also beautiful. There are crackling parts in B1 and middle of B3 not very serious, and the jacket has some tears/stains, but is in good condition with no ring wear.
