Alberto Favero, one of the leading keyboardists in the Argentinian jazz scene is best known for his masterpiece "Suite Trane" a 1970 tribute to John Coltrane. While the aforementioned works are often discussed, the late ’80s through early ’90s, a period marked by releases featuring a variety of approaches also deserve significant attention. Among them, this 1987 album features a collection of tracks that represent the pinnacle of Argentina’s melancholy and mellowness. In particular, A3 “San Juan De Puerto Rico” and B1 “Classical Tropico” are truly wonderful. The lustrous synth sounds and smooth keyboard harmonies envelop. A masterpiece that can be considered a classic in our store. Restock after a pretty long time.
70年のJohn Coltraneへ捧げた名作”Suite Trane”で大いに知られるアルゼンチン・ジャズシーンを代表する鍵盤奏者のひとりAlberto Favero。前述の作品で語られる事が多いですが様々なアプローチのリリースをしていた80年後半から90年前半も大いに注目で、中でもこの87年作はアルゼンチン特有の哀愁/メロウネスの極地と言える楽曲が並びます。特にA3”San Juan De Puerto Rico”とB1”Classical Tropico”は本当に素晴らしい。艶のあるシンセとまろやかな鍵盤のハーモニーが包み込みます。当店のクラシックと言える大傑作。久々に入荷できました。
