German musician Al Gromer Khan, who spent nearly three years studying sitar performance in India before joining Popol Vuh, is known as one of the founders of ambient and new age music through his extensive compositional work in genres such as meditation music and world music. This 1987 cassette-only release was produced in collaboration with Austrian composer Mario Strack. It features three lengthy electronic tracks spanning meditation, new age, and Indian classical music, utilizing synthesizers, sitar, and percussion. "Konya" unfolds spiritually with a Krautrock-influenced beat, "Anahat 841" features a meditative texture interspersed with diverse organic sounds and "Easter" is a drone electronic piece filled with divine resonance. The cassette sound quality is also excellent.
インドへの約三年間に及ぶシタール演奏修行を経てPopol Vuhへも参加、以後は瞑想音楽やワールドミュージック等の膨大な作曲活動を通してアンビエント/ニューエイジの創始者のひとりとして知られるドイツ人音楽家Al Gromer Khan。本作はオーストリア人作曲家Mario Strackと共に制作された87年のカセットオンリー作品。シンセ、シタール、パーカッションによるメディテーション、ニューエイジ、インディアンクラシカルを股に掛けた長尺のエレクトロニクス3編を収録。クラウト仕込みのようなビートと共にスピリチュアルに展開されていく”Konya”、メディテーティヴなテクスチャーに多彩な有機音が差し込まれる”Anahat 841”、神々しい響きに満ちたドローン・エレクトロニクス”Easter”。カセットの音質も上質。
