After Crying is a Hungarian band and creative workshop that was formed in 1986 and has continued to this day, prioritizing artistic goals over commercial success. This is an early cassette release from 1991, featuring recordings from a 1988 performance at a theater in Budapest and a concert in Porto. Centered around original members Gábor Egervári and Péter Pejtsik, it features an experimental suite of extended duration with a cross-genre sensibility, performed by a chamber orchestra that includes flute and cello. Serious and intense.
86年に結成され現在に至るまで経済的成功は二の次に芸術目的で活動を続けるハンガリーのバンド兼クリエイティブ・ワークショップAfter Crying。本作は88年にブダペストの劇場とポルトでのコンサートの模様を収録した91年の初期カセットリリース。現メンバーでもあるEgervári GáborとPejtsik Péterを中心にフルートやチェロを携えた室内オーケストラによる越境感覚を持ち合わせた長尺編成の実験組曲を収録。シリアスで強烈な内容。
