Rinsho Kadekari, a leading singer of Okinawan Min'yō, was called “the god of island songs” by Ro Takenaka. This work was produced by that Ro Takenaka and recorded in 1973 when he was 53 years old, and contains the performances that were held on the mainland in Osaka, Nagoya, and Tokyo. Hosted by Naohito Uehara, who had been a disc jockey for Okinawan Min'yō programs for many years, the performance featured Misako Oshiro, also known as the "female Kadekaru", who at one point Kadekaru did not want to sing with any other female singers, and Tetsuhiro Daiku, a leading figure in Yaeyama Min'yō. We hope to listen to the moving singing voice, the sound of the sanshin(Okinawan traditional three-stringed instrument), the exchanges between the two, the interesting contrast with the lyrics, and the many stories about his personality, while reading the commentary. Include, "Nineteen Spring" which sang a popular Yonaguni song, "Imin Kouta" which sang about the national policy of advancing south during the war, "Yonaguni Shonkane-" where you can hear Daiku's amazing singing, "Senyu" which is crazy arrangement of a military song, and the final Eisa and Kachashi. There were also some great heartwarming episodes, such as Kadekaru commenting that the venue, JEAN JEAN Shibuya, was dark and small, like an air-raid shelter, but then hearing that Izumi Yukimura (who has been helping him out on screen for a while) often sings there, and then agreeing, and the story of them all going to the pachinko parlor together while touring.

竹中労にして「島唄の神様」と言わしめた沖縄民謡を代表する唄い手嘉手苅林昌。本作はその竹中労プロデュースによって大阪、名古屋、東京と巡った本格的な本土上演を行った模様を収めた当時53歳73年録音作品。民謡番組のディスクジョッキーを長きに渡り務めた上原直彦の司会の元、一時は彼女以外の女性歌手とは歌いたがらなかったという女カデカルとも称される大城美佐子、八重山民謡の第一人者大工哲弘を従えての公演。心動かされる歌声、三線の音色、二人との通じ合う掛け合い、歌詞とのギャップの面白さ、数々語られるその人柄を想い解説を見ながらニタニタと聞いてみてほしいです。与那国の流行歌を唄った”十九の春”、戦時中の南進国策を唄う”移民小唄”、大工の物凄い歌唱が聴ける”与那国しょんかねー”、軍歌をアレンジしまくった”戦友”、ラストのエイサーとカチャーシー。会場のジャンジャンが暗く小さく防空壕みたいだと言い放った嘉手苅が（以前からスクリーンでお世話になっていた）雪村いずみがよく歌っている事を聞きそれなら仕方ないと承諾した話や皆でパチンコに行く話などほっこりするようなエピソードも最高。貴重な帯付き美盤。
