The first solo work by saxophonist/composer Victor Cuica, who is also well known as an actor in Venezuela. He studied music in the Navy, and before this release, he had participated in super salsa band Los Supremos and Gerry Weil's works. Includes from jazz-based mellow tune to Afro-Cuban, zouk-like dancer that fit the word refinement. All of them are good, particularly A1/A4/B1/B3 are worth listening to. It's not yet well known.
ヴェネズエラでは俳優としても有名だというサックス奏者/作曲家Victor Cuicaによるソロ初作。海軍で音楽を学び、このリリース以前にもサルサ鬼盤Los SupremosやGerry Weil作品にも参加している実力派。洗練という言葉がしっくりくるジャズベースのメロウな楽曲からアフロキューバンからズーク調のダンサンブルな曲まで収録。どれもいい内容ですが、A1/A4/B1/B3などは特に聴き所。まだまだ知られていない良作だと思います。
