The first album by Contraviento, a folklore jazz group led by Chilean string player Fernando Yañez, in 1978. Impressed by the modern updated content of the Uruguayan work, from well-arranged to groovy tunes with ethnic elements. Starting with the groovy and variously arranged highlight tune "Contraviento", in addition there are nice tunes such as A6 "El Amor Es Un Camino", a jazz-rock type with an interesting development, and piano/organ and folklore intersect gracefully B4 "Ojala". Mariana García Vigil's vocals also enhance the piece.
チリ人弦楽奏者Fernando Yañezを中心としたフォルクローレ・ジャズ・グループContravientoによる78年のファーストアルバム。民族的な要素を持ちながらもアレンジの効いた楽曲からグルーヴィな楽曲までウルグアイ作品特有のモダンにアップデートされた内容が印象的。グルーヴィかつ様々なアレンジが効いたハイライト”Contraviento”を皮切りに、面白い展開のジャズロック調のA6"El Amor Es Un Camino"、鍵盤とフォルクローレが優雅に交差するB4”Ojala”など良曲多数。Mariana García Vigilのヴォーカルもより作品を引き立てています。非常に完成された作品。
