Interspecies Music is a Canadian multimedia performance group consisting of 8 members. This album is a collection of underwater soundscape performances that use traditional and electronic instruments to imitate the sounds of Hampback whales, Beluga, and Orca, with slides and films of underwater creatures projected in the background. It features 6 tracks filled with ambience sounds, including playing music together while listening to the cries of Beluga in the river and identifying the sounds made by whales and incorporating them into the repertoire. It might be interesting to think of it as a summer record.
