The only mini album by Carrilet, a project of Spanish musicians consisting of Sergio Andres, a multi-instrumentalist/composer who also composed music for an experimental theater group called GAT, percussionist Enric Esteban and keyboard player Teresa Flo. A total of four tracks produced in the suburbs of Barcelona, aiming to develop modern music connected to Mediterranean sensibilities and aesthetics without being bound by genre or style. "Leonard" is cued by minimal refrain of crystalline percussion sound, which develops in various ways, "1983: Teresa" which evolves from a delicate ethno-ambient to a grandiose atmosphere, and "Taifa" which is over 15 minutes long and breathes pan-Mediterranean exoticism. Treasured piece. It is wonderful no matter where you hear it.
GATと呼ばれる実験演劇グループでも作曲を担当していたマルチ奏者/作曲家Sergio Andresを中心に打楽器奏者Enric Esteban、鍵盤奏者Teresa Floで構成されたスペイン人ミュージシャンによるプロジェクトCarriletの唯一作。ジャンルやスタイルに捉われず地中海の感性と美学に結びついたモダンな音楽を発展させた作品を目指しバルセロナ郊外にて制作された全4曲。ミニマルにリフレインするクリスタルな音色の打楽器音を合図に様々な展開を見せる”Leonard”、繊細なエスノ・アンビエントから壮大な雰囲気へ展開する”1983: Teresa”、汎地中海性のエキゾチシズムが息づくような15分を超える”Taifa”を収録。メンバーの他作品も確認されていない秘宝的作品。どこを聞いても素晴らしいです。
