The only work released in 1981 by Jasmine, a Brazilian fusion group formed in New Orleans led by female harpist Patrice Fisher. It is well known as Cassandra Wilson's first recording, also features the famous New Orleans producer Allen Toussaint, James Black, who played drums for Yusef Lateef, and percussionist Mark Sanders, known for his work with Jah Wobble. The album is made up of 9 tracks, each of which is difficult to choose a favorite, with the harp tones that comfortably illuminate, Cassandra Wilson's captivating vocals, and a stable rhythm section. Among them, if we had to choose, title track "Jasmine" which has an exquisite atmosphere with grace development and ennui-style vocals, relaxed pleasant Brazilian number "Everything I Do With You" and sweet fusion “Dream Dancer”. US Brazilian crossover master piece in excellent condition with shrink wrap.
フィメールハープ奏者Patrice Fisherを中心にニューオリンズにて結成されたブラジリアン・グループJasmineによる81年の唯一作。Cassandra Wilsonの初録音作品として大きく知られていますが他にもニューオリンズの名プロデューサー Allen Toussaint、Yusef Lateefでもドラムを担当していたJames Black、Jah Wobbleとの仕事で知られるパーカッショ二ストMark Sandersなどが参加しています。全体を心地よく照らすハープの音色、Cassandra Wilsonの魅惑的なヴォーカル、安定感のあるリズム隊を中心にしたどの曲も甲乙つけがたい全9曲の構成。その中でも当店的には優雅な展開にアンニュイ調ヴォーカルのコントラストが絶妙な空気感を醸す”Jasmine”、ゆったりとしたテンポの気持ちいいブラジリアン・ナンバー”Everything I Do With You”、抜群のスウィート・フュージョン”Dream Dancer”を推薦。US産ブラジルクロスオーヴァー名作。シュリンク付きの美品です。
