The first album of 1977 by Sacbé, composed of the Toussaint brothers led by Eugenio Toussaint. Members such as Gerardo Bátiz, Arturo Cipriano, Germán Herrera, who will leave a masterpiece in solo later, have set aside and completed an impeccable jazz / fusion sound in the first work. Toatl 7 tunes include A4"Ah-Tok" filled with exoticism/psychederia groove, B1 "Sacbe" that plays a perfect fusion sound that combines various arrangements and technical performances, quality urban fusion A2 "Caribe", experimental/free like jazz tune B2"Page". A milestone of Mexican jazz.
Eugenio Toussaint率いるToussaint兄弟で構成されるSacbéの77年のファーストアルバム。Gerardo Bátiz,Arturo Cipriano,Germán Herreraなど後にソロでも傑作を残すメンバーが脇を固め、落としどころのないジャズ/フュージョンサウンドを初作で完成させています。まずエキゾシチズム/サイケデリアグルーヴが充満するA3”Ah-Tok”、多彩なアレンジとテクニカルな演奏が一体となった完璧なフュージョンサウンドを奏でるB1”Sacbe”、疾走感のあるアーバン・フュージョン”Caribe”、エクスペリメンタル/フリーなジャズ・ナンバー”Page”と筆頭にした全7曲。プロデュースにはJorge ReyesやAstilleroのエンジニアでもあるLuis Gil Baptistaが担当。メキシカンジャズの金字塔的作品。
