Antonio Russek is a true pioneer who established what is said to be Mexico's first private electroacoustic studio in the 1970s, and has been connected not only to electronic music production, also to sound art, theater music and the underground scene. This album is one of the few under his own name, and features music and soundscapes he composed for the Desert Museum, released in 1999. Total of 18 tracks that are full of field materials that express the sounds of the land that remember from his childhood spent under the desert sky. The powerful sound image, which he himself served as the engineer, is nothing short of spectacular.
70年代にはメキシコ初と言われるプライベート電気音響スタジオを設立し、電子音楽制作のみならずサウンドアートや舞台音楽そして地下シーンともコネクトしてきた真のパイオニアAntonio Russek。本作は99年にリリースされた砂漠美術館のために作曲した楽曲とサウンドスケープ作品を収録した数少ない本人名義作品。砂漠の空の下で過ごした幼少時代の記憶を持つ土地の音を表現したフィールド素材を織り交ぜたみなぎりまくってる全18曲。自身がエンジニアを務めた迫力ある音像もお見事という他ないです。CD作品ですが非常に稀少となっています。
