Borneo Edition, part of the Mineral Sound Music Series created in the late 1990s by Takashi Kokubo, Japan's leading environmental musician and soundscape designer. Featuring 7 tracks produced with 1/f fluctuations, such as the breath of life heard in deep jungles, the divine awakening of the forest, the voices of creatures in the dark woods. Particularly outstanding are the relaxing “Life's Flux” with water sounds and flute, and the exquisite ambient piece “Hidden in Darkness” depicting a forest sinking into black shadows. While the Ion series is widely known, this series also deserves attention.

日本を代表する環境音楽家/音環境デザイナー小久保隆が90年代後半に手掛けたミネラル・サウンド・ミュージック・シリーズのひとつとなるボルネオ編。深いジャングルで聞こえる生命の息吹、神々しい森の目覚め、暗い森の生物たちの声などの1/f ゆらぎと共に作り上げられた全7曲を収録。特に水の音やフルートによるリラクシンな”生々流転”、黒い闇に沈む森をを表現した極上アンビエント”闇に密む”が秀逸。イオンシリーズが広く知られていますがこのシリーズも注目です。
