Originator Osamu Kitajima, who moved to the U.S. in the 1970s and has been playing new age music since the heyday of the 1980s. This work was released simultaneously in countries other than the U.S., solidifying its international status. It contains ethereal and Japanese new age sounds with Koto, Shakuhachi and other instruments. The whole world must have been listening to it while imagining Zipangu, the land of the rising sun.
70年代よりアメリカへ移住し80年代の全盛期よりニューエイジミュージックを奏でていたオリジネーター喜多嶋修。本作はアメリカ以外の国でも同時発売された国際的地位を確固たるものにした作品で、箏、尺八などを用いた幽玄で和的なニューエイジサウンドを収録。世界中で日出る国ジパングを想像しながら聴いていたに違いないですね。
