Midori Takada, a musician and percussionist who has been active not only as an avant-garde performer, also like in inter-country musical experiments represented by the Mkwaju Ensemble and Ton-Klami, collaborations with art and dance since the 1970s. This work is a limited edition 12" distributed as a novelty item at the grand opening of the Italian brand "BOTTEGA VENETA" in Omotesando, Tokyo in 2021. The minimalism hammering emerges as ambient music, echoing fantastically. It is bliss to hear the current mature performance on vinyl. Includes 4 tracks. The specially processed sleeve with the same design as the artwork that graphic designer Takuya Hagiwara did on the glass of the building for a limited time is also amazing. Probably 100 or 200 pieces are estimated to be produced.
前衛演奏家としてだけではなく70年代よりMkwaju EnsembleやTon-Klamiなどに代表される異国間音楽実験、アートやダンスとのコラボレーション等に取り組み、現在も精力的に活動する音楽家/打楽器奏者 高田みどり。本作は2021年にイタリア発祥のブランド「BOTTEGA VENETA」が表参道にグランドオープンした際にノベルティにて配布された限定12インチ(詳細わかりませんがヨーロッパなど日本だけの配布ではないかもしれません)。ミニマルな打ち込みが幻想的に響きながらアンビエントミュージックとなって現れてきます。現在の成熟されたパフォーマンスをレコードで聞けるのは至福。全4曲入り。グラフィックデザイナー萩原卓哉が期間限定でビルのガラスに手掛けたアート作品と同デザインの特殊加工スリーブも素敵すぎます。おそらく100枚とか200枚の生産だと推測されます。
