Pianist/synthesizer/producer Keiichi Shibata. After returning from the U.S. through jazz fields such as the history of co-starring Miles Davis and Hidehiko Matsumoto, he released four albums from Japan's leading new age/ambient label Shi Zen.This is the third album released in 1987. In this work, a lot of synthesizers are included, and the sound of the piano is added to it to draw a beautiful and clear sound image from beginning to end.Above all, A2 "Ladies In The Oasis" starting from painful piano melody and moving to floating parts, reminiscent of the scene where the earth wraps up everything A4 "Shae No Sanoku", sound of synthesizer The content is wonderful as B3 "Vain Glory" where particles and piano melt and sublimate.
ピアニスト/シンセサイザー奏者/プロデューサー柴田敬一。マイルスデイヴィスや松本英彦等の共演履歴などジャズのフィールドを経てアメリカから帰国後、87年に日本を代表するニューエイジ/アンビエントレーベルShi Zenから発表した3枚目のアルバムに当たる作品。ピアノに加えシンセサイザーが多く盛り込まれていて、終始美しく澄み切った音像を描いています。中でも切ないピアノのメロディーから始まり浮遊するパートへ移っていくA2"オアシスの娘たち”が白眉、大地が全てを包み込んでくれるような情景を思い起こさせるA4"舎衛の三億"、シンセサイザーの音の粒子とピアノが溶け合い昇華していくB3"栄華の夢"と素晴らしい内容です。
