Percussionist/composer Yoshiaki Ochi has been conducting fieldwork around the world since the 1980s, and is known for his sound-making that blends computer sounds with tones colored by various rhythms. This is the first album produced after composing and performing music for the Issey Miyake Collection, creating music for TV/radio, some workshops, etc. in 1990. The ethnic instruments from around the world were played with a Japanese sensibility, and voices, flutes, and electric instruments were added to them. It's a simply magical music that appears to be the result of the diligence of the Japanese in craftsmanship and the addition of free ideas and sophistication to that spirit. "Ear Dreamin'" is one of the best tracks, full of mysterious and primitive sounds. Original CD with obi.

80年代より世界各地でフィールドワークを行い、様々なリズムに彩られた音色とコンピューターサウンドを溶け合わせたサウンドメイキングで知られるパーカッショ二スト/作曲家越智義朗。三宅一生コレクションの作曲とパフォーマンス、TVやラジオへの楽曲制作、ワークショップ等を経て制作された90年の初作。世界各地の民族楽器を日本人の感性で演奏し、そこに声、笛、電気楽器を加え制作が行われたようです。日本人のモノづくりへの勤勉さ、そこに自由な発想や洗練が加味されたような魔法の音楽。神秘的かつプリミティブな響きに満ちた"Ear Dreamin'"は屈指の名曲。素晴らしいです。帯付きオリジナルCD。
