The third in a series of field recordings left on the Kenyan CMS label. It includes four songs centered on traditional songs handed down by the Kikuyu tribe, Kenya's largest ethnic group. The best of the four are "Nylon" an exotic song played on a primitive violin "Siriri" and a local xylophone, and the untitled A2 song sung by the Kamba women with drums. Other include "Lukhani" a song that tells the story of a man who is looking to marry a woman for her looks, not her appearance, while the lyre lilas and bells resonate in a minimalism, and "Muthu Wa Njugu" sung by older Kikuyu women. Amazing contents.
