This 1988 release focused on female vocalists from the BBM label, which was based in Kobe and mainly released compilation albums on various themes. All of the groups seem to be mostly unknown, but there are still some groups that made interesting songs. The best track is obscure synth-wave track "It All Starts With A Lie" by the six-piece Billy-Chon Orchestra, also recommended dreamy pop "Kinoh Mita Yume" the well-crafted synth-pop tune "Imitation Love," and the new wave pop "Wet Rose," with vocals that sound like Akina Nakamori. Hard to find.
神戸を拠点に様々なテーマのコンピレーション・アルバムを中心にリリースをしていたBBMレーベルからの女性ヴォーカルに焦点を当てた88年リリース作。どのグループもほとんど無名と思われますが、面白い曲を作っていたグループがやはりありますね。まず6人組グループBilly-Chon Orchestraによる尖ったオブスキュア・シンセ・ウェーブ”すべては嘘から始まる”がベストトラック。他にもドリーミー・ポップ”きのう みた ゆめ”、よくできたシンセポップチューン”Imitation Love”、中森明菜ばりのヴォーカルのニューウェーブ・ポップ"Wet Rose"などオススメ。全く見かけないと思います。
